On Memorial Day weekend, Dayne and I went to spend a weekend alone in Tulsa. We looked at baby furniture, went shopping, ate well, and even paid a visit the the Tulsa Zoo. Yes, we will always be kids at heart. But come on...who doesn't love the zoo?? While we were there, we saw....
Lions eat their very rare and iron packed lunch....
Grizzle Bears trying to stay cool in the heat....
Black Bears growling for some lunch...
Rhinos...
The stars of Meerkat Manor...
Lots of assorted Monkeys (these were Daddy's favorite)...
Flamingos...
Some stars from "Finding Nemo"...
Reptiles that were not Mommy's favorite...
Zebras enjoying their shady spot...
Mr. Giraffe turned around to say "hello"...
And last but not least....elephants!
All in all it was a very fun trip, and we can't wait to take Baby Moreton to his/her first "official" visit to the zoo.
After we got back from Tulsa, we had our second doctor's appointment in hopes of hearing baby's heartbeat. What an amazing experience and reassuring joy when that moment finally arrived. With no problem, Dr. Torres quickly found the heartbeat which was a strong and healthy 164. I know what you're thinking, "OH!! It's definitely a girl with that fast heartbeat!" I'm not going by any of the wive's tales. Until I see sold proof on August 1st, is when I'll truly believe what I'm having. I know plenty of boys born with fast heartbeats, and plenty of girls born with low heartbeats. Only 6 weeks to go!!
