Under Construction

For the past few weeks we've been busy getting Ivy Kate's nursery ready for her arrival.  If you know us, remodeling is never a small affair.  When we decide to change something, we go all out.  We painted the room, put in new floors, added some base shoe, gutted the closet, and custom designed a new closet.  Here are a few before and after pictures for you.  We are nowhere near finished, but it's a work in progress.

These are the bedroom before paint and before new flooring.

Walk-in closet before caulk, paint, and new flooring.

What a huge change!  The color of the wall is "100 Acre Raindrops" (Name that famous Disney show??)  The rug is from Decor & More, the fabrics are provided by Carmen Geotes at Keep It Gypsy, and the sweet little girl paintings are from Inscriptions.

Dayno hung all of the new closet shelving and it looks great!  You can't really tell much from the pictures.  And yes, of course she already has her wardrobe started.  She is her mother's daughter after all!!

Here is a close up of the paintings that I bought at Inscriptions.  2 blondes and 2 brunettes so that we aren't being bias of hair color. :o)  I can't wait to hang them over her dresser/changing table.

24 weeks and counting!  We are getting there, slowly but surely.  I'm anxious to get her bedding and curtains completed, and for Angela Lensing from Cross My ART to come and work her magic on Ivy Kate's nursery walls!  Stay tuned for more updates!!

The results are in!!!

Today was one of the most incredible days of my life!  Never could I have dreamed I would experience such feelings, emotion, and instant love for something.  Dayne and I are happy to announce that we are going to be welcoming....
Ivy Kate Moreton
into the world in December!!!!

Allow me to introduce our gorgeous baby girl!
This is a shot of her profile.

She's got some legs on her too!  She had them stretched all the way over her head the whole time.

This morning before we went into Cooper Clinic.  21 weeks today!!  We were SOOOO anxious to see our precious baby.

Tonight we had a Gender Reveal Party for our family.  It was a HUGE success as they were all very surprised to hear there was going to be another sweet little girl running around soon.  I ordered a strawberry cake that they cut in to in order to find out the sex.
SURPRISE!!!!!!

Then each of the grandparents opened their personalized onesies that Ivy Kate will soon be sporting.  Carmen with Keep It Gypsy did a FANTASTIC job!!  Thanks, Girl!

I think Brinkley was the most excited of all.  She's really looking forward to having a little girl cousin to teach all the ways of being a Moreton.

Love Is Alive

Love ain't a candle.
It doesn't burn for one night, and need the dark to shine.

Love is alive.

And love ain't just a word

in every dictionary with no where defined.

Love is man and he's MINE.

Love is alive and at our breakfast table everyday of the week.

Love is alive and it grows everyday and night even in our sleep.

Love is alive and it's made a happy woman out of me.

Oh, love is alive...and here by me.

Love, ain't just a rule...

a distant far away dream that needs the night to rise.

Love is alive.

And love ain't just a song.

Sweet words of music to go dancin' on.

Love is a man and he's mine.

Love is alive and at our breakfast table everyday of the week.

Love is alive and it grows everyday and night even in our sleep.

Love is alive and it's made a happy woman out of me.

Oh, love is alive...

And here by me!

Happy 2 Year Anniversary, Dayne.  You've made the past 2 years of marriage, and the last 5 years of my life the most wonderful, exciting, blessed and thankful time of my life.

Today is our 2 year wedding anniversary, today I am 21 weeks blissfully pregnant, and today we find out if our precious little miracle is a bouncing baby boy or a gorgeous baby girl.  We've prayed for this day, and it is finally here.  We can't wait to share our exciting news with you all.  Please say a prayer for us today as we turn the page and continue to embark on this blessing of a new chapter in our lives.
